Am I making any mistakes for my health?
Our habits and lifestyle have much more impacts on our health than any other things
Let’s learn about a few common mistakes we make every day that could adversely affect our health.
1) Waking up late
Many of us have the habit of waking up very late. When you wake up late, due to the large gap between your last night’s dinner and present breakfast, it may in the long run affect very adversely to the immune system and digestive systems.
Secondly, due to your working schedule, you may not find time for self-development practices like morning walks, meditation, yoga, exercises, etc. when you are late to your bed; which could harm your health.
Acidity, gastric, heart issues, laziness, weakness, weak mental ability, etc. are common with this habit.
What to Do:
- Despite having a hectic schedule always leave your bed in the early morning.
- If your profession doesn’t allow you for night sleep then never remain in bed more than 6-8 hours generally.

2) Ignoring the impact of breakfast
Late breakfast, light breakfast, or no breakfast – this is a common scenario for many people nowadays. The reasons vary, yet it may not be entirely beneficial for one’s health.
To maintain good health, a sufficient amount of breakfast with nutritious foods must be taken.
When you neglect it, either by skipping it totally or managing with just one or two biscuits and tea, it could affect the digestive system, metabolism, and nervous system.
Weight gain, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, acidity, stomach problems, lack of nutrients, mood swings, and irritability are common with this habit.
What to Do:
- Always have a good breakfast completely.
- Avoid fried foods in your breakfast.
3) Being Addicted
Addiction in any form is detrimental to both physical and mental health. Whether it is substances like drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes, addiction has a significant impact on physical health first, and then on mental health.
If you are addicted to mobiles, news, sex, games, etc., it will damage your mental health first and then physical.
Weakening the immune system, affecting the kidneys, liver, lungs, brain, etc., are common effects of addiction.
What to Do:
- Detox yourself from addictive habits.
- Regular mental practice to stop or avoid the addiction triggers.
4) Lack of awareness about nutrition
Our body always needs a balanced amount of nutrition to maintain all its processes.
Due to various reasons such as lack of time, financial conditions, dietary habits, lack of awareness, negligence, etc., many of us couldn’t consume the necessary amounts, leading to poor health.
Nutritional disorders are common with this habit.
What to Do:
- Take proper nutrition according to your health conditions.
- May take advice from your nutritionist.
5) Going to bed late
Late sleeping is also a common habit for many of us. It is unavoidable in many cases, but if it is due to our habit, then we might consider changing it.
Going late could weaken our immune system, digestive system, and nervous system.
Acidity, indigestion, headaches, irritability, sleep issues, and instability are a few signs of it.
What to Do:
- Prioritize your sleep routine.
- Avoid all time wasters before 2 hours of going to bed.
6) Unable to handle Stress
Today our life is full of stress due to many reasons. And many of us are failing to handle it.
Stress can have numerous adverse effects on our health, affecting both our physical and mental well-being.
