1) Over Analysis

Analysis is good for any incident to learn something or to be aware of our mistakes not to repeat or to manage the incident effectively. But over-analysis is very bad for our mental health.

These imbalances may lead to thought conflicts, unnecessary worries, anxieties, fears, and emotional issues, all of which are detrimental to our mental health.

Overanalyzing all the everyday incidents will lead to anxiety or stress disorders in the long run.

What to do:

Do analysis, but stop over analysis for any matter.

2) Trying to control the uncontrollable

Every day we face many situations or circumstances at every moment.

Out of it, many situations are beyond our expectations or imagination.

It’s common for everyone to feel worried or upset when facing uncertainties or situations beyond our control.

The problem starts when we try to control incidents that are beyond our control.

Many of us make this mistake frequently, ending up with frustration, helplessness, and hopelessness, which may lead to depression, anxiety, and emotional breakdowns.

What to do:

Identify the controllable and uncontrollable things and just avoid thinking about uncontrollable.

3) Addiction

Addiction is a very common habit to a maximum population; whether it may be alcohol, drugs, mobile, games, sex, or anything else.

Addictive habits are always harmful to cognitive distortion.

This may lead to a loss of understanding, cooperation, and thinking ability, resulting in unnecessary irritations, anger, aggressive or odd behavior, emotional conflicts, loss of interest in everyday activities, and withdrawal from societal events or activities.

All these could lead to many mental disturbances or disorders.

What to do:

Always avoid any type of addictive habits.

4) Stuck with negative emotions

We all know very well that everything is not in our hands.

Many situations can result in unexpected outcomes, leading to fear, crying, anger, jealousy, and other emotional responses.

It is normal to be with these emotions for a few days or months as a human being.

But it is not good if it will be for a longer period.

Being in negative emotions for a long time can lead to depression, mood issues, and emotional breakdowns.

What to do:

Release negative emotions as early as possible.

5) Not able to process traumas

Facing traumas in life is always challenging, whether it be an accident involving oneself or a relative, an unexpected incident, the death of loved ones, or a sudden job loss.

But it is also very important for us to process all traumatic experiences in time otherwise it could lead to serious mental issues.

PTSD has the highest impact on our country’s population.

What to do:

Adopt and learn the ways to process any traumas.

6) Unorganized Lifestyle

Our lifestyle significantly impacts our mental health. Undisciplined habits, addictions, poor daily routines, unhealthy food choices, and unplanned days all contribute negatively to our mental well-being.

Make your daily routine and lifestyle organized and disciplined.

7) Lack of self-discipline

Self-discipline always helps us to lead a balanced life.

Lack of self-discipline means lack of balance in life which is a vital factor for increasing stressors in our life.

Unnecessary worries, anxieties, fears, overthinking, and procrastination are part of this.

These habits could lead to depression, anxiety, personality issues, and stress disorders.
